Gangsters was a BBC drama series that
enjoyed immense popularity for a period during
the 1970s. The show was originally a Play For Today by Philip Martin which was spun
off into a series starring Maurice Colbourne and telling the story of gangsters in
Birmingham. The show ran for two seasons, with the second taking
an unconventional approach to television drama.
